Cornerstone Aviation has partnered with the Davis County School District and now offers flight instruction as a CTE course. High school students can get a head start on a promising career in aviation with CSA’s, Davis School District approved CTE class. The flexibility and opportunities this course offers will not only put you on track to becoming a pilot early in your studies, but it will also give you the tools and assistance needed to accomplish your goals.




A private pilot’s license allows you to fly a small, personal aircraft, with passengers (not commercially). You can complete this semester and finish with your private pilot’s license (PPL) or you can take advantage of the only program in the country that allows you to go from start to finish with your commercial pilot’s license, by completing our three semester program.

Class time can be your choice of 4th or 8th period. The flight training required to obtain a private pilot license can be done before class, after class, on weekends, or over the summer. For a private pilot license you are required 40 hours of flight time. Flight time can be paid as you go, or financing is available for as low as $300 per month.

* Flight time is not required for enrollment, but it is required for a private pilot’s license.


This semester is spent improving your skills and learning more indepth pilot practices as you follow the path to becoming a commercial pilot.

The additional flight training required for your instrument rating (needed for a commercial license) can be done before class, after class, on weekends, or over the summer. 50 hours of flight time is required for your instrument rating. Flight time can be paid as you go or financing is available for as low as $350 per month.

This is your last semester before you are on your way to becoming a Commercial Pilot! Yes, you can actually start getting paid to fly.

This class is a part of your school schedule like any other class. You will be excused from school premises to attend this class at the Bountiful Skypark Airport in Woods Cross.

Those who take advantage of the 3-year curriculum available through this course approved by the Davis County School District (In conjunction with the in-flight training offered with our CFI’s), have the ability to graduate from high school with a commercial pilot’s license.

This is a beginning ground training course that will bring you from zero knowledge of airplane operation to taking the FAA written exam. Students enrolled in this ground school course can opt to continue their experience out of the classroom and learn hands-on in one of our aircraft under the guidance of our FAA-certified flight instructors. Additional obligations and requirements apply.
