VA Benefits

Whether you qualify for pre/post 9/11 (Chapter 33) you can use your VA benefits directly with CSA.

Cornerstone Aviation is the only program in the State of Utah offering Veterans Administration approved fixed-wing pilot training courses. Benefits are available under Chapters 30, 31, 33, 1606 and 1607 of the Montgomery G.I. Bill. CSA’s FAA Part 141 certificates, from Private Pilot to CFI, have all been approved by the Veterans Administration.

GI Bill applicants must contact the VA, who will provide a Certificate of Eligibility (COE). This document explains in detail the benefits earned. A copy must be given to Cornerstone Aviation once a training class start date has been assigned. Plan ahead, as this document can take 4-6 weeks to receive. To obtain a COE, visit www.ebenefits.va.gov, select “Apply” and then select “Education Benefits.” Fill out the 22-1990 form for education benefits, or the 22-1995 form for a change of program if you have previously used your benefits or submitted for your COE on behalf of another school.
