Flight Review and Instrument Proficiency Checks

CSA Flight Instructors are certified by the FAA to complete both Flight Reviews and Instrument Proficiency Checks. Commonly know as the “Bi-Annual Flight Review,” all pilots must receive a Flight Review every 24 calendar months to keep their license current. The Flight Review consists of a minimum of 1 hour of ground instruction and 1 hour of flight instruction. The concepts reviewed on a Flight Review are at the discretion of the Flight Instructor and will be customized to fit the needs and currency of the pilot. Instrument Proficiency Checks cover both ground and flight concepts to ensure the pilot is current and safe during IFR operations,; the flight will include DP, STAR, Holding, ILS, Non-Precision Approach, and Missed Approach.
